Kickin Pinchilades!
Kaylan has always loved to help me around the house but she especially loves to help cook. These pictures are from almost a year ago. I know I am so behind but I wanted to remember these pictures and how cute Kaylan use to say Chicken Enchilades. (She would say Kicken Pinchilades). I think she will probably always be my right hand girl when it comes to the kitchen and that is just fine with me. She is actually getting where she can help out quite a bit.

Look Mom I Made A Mess!
Tuesday Ballerina Day!
Kaylan is just the most adorable ballerina. I am surprised how attentive she is in class each week. She will ask me almost everyday if it is Tuesday because she knows that she gets to go to dance on Tuesdays. However she doesn't know any other names of the days of the week but at least we have Tuesday down.

A Bunny Riding A Horse?
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!
One of Kaylan's favorite things to do is to play the piano. We have one of those pianos that plays by itself so she loves to sit and pretend she is playing it. Lately she will sit and sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star all the while pretending to play the piano. She also likes to change the lyrics. Example "twinkle twinkle little star how I wonder what you are about". I have to say that it is about the cutest thing on the block!!!

Volcano Cake!
Kaylan always begs to help me in the kitchen. I think it is because of moments like this where she gets to lick the spoon after making a cake. This paticular day we were making a Volcano Cake. It is really fun and extremely easy (10 min. start to finish). You actually bake it in the microwave. If you are interested the recipe is below. We had fun making it as well as eating it.
Volcano Cake
*Box chocolate cake mix
*Tub of chocolate frosting (not whipped)
Spray glass bowl and mix cake mix as directed. Put the jar of frosting in the middle of the cake mix. Microwave for 8-81/2 minutes on high. When done dump cake out of bowl upside down onto a cookie sheet. It will make a volcano!!! Eat right of way with ice cream. Also very yummy with cherry chip cake and cherry chip frosting.

My Little Fish
Kaylan has had a blast this summer swimming.
She is quite the little fish. Below she is at swim lessons with Miss Carolyn. I can tell Kaylan has missed swim since it ended. The other day she was laying down in the tub and I heard her saying "chin down, big arms, big kicks". Apparently the tub works just as well as the pool. Well at least she is praticing in the off season. :)

The White Mountains
We just got home from being in the White Mountains for almost two weeks. Our first stop was Snowflake where we had fun doing all the festivities related to the 24th of July Pioneer Celebration. Kaylan had a blast at the parade and made off with a ton of candy. Our second stop was Greenspeak where we camped for almost a week. We went fishing at big lake where Kaylan caught a good sized fish. When we got it in the boat she asked if she could "pet it". She carried that fish around camp almost all day she was so proud of it.
All about Kaylan
Kaylan has a lot of fun playing "Dress Up". In this picture I think she looks like the cutest little sixties girl. She loves to pretend and can spend hours at a time doing it.
Kaylan loves to play with her cousins. On the right Sidney Jo (4) and the left Taryn (3).
Kaylan has spent many hours this summer taking swimming lessons. She absolutely loves it and begs almost every day to go to the pool. She does very well in the pool for a two year old. (of course I am bias) She can jump off the diving board by herself and can dive to the bottom of the pool to get rings.

I feel really behind with this blogging thing but I finally did it. Please forgive all of my mistakes I am sure I have made.
